BTD receives BMTS award for 2nd time

Bhopal, Oct 4 (UNI) The Telecom District Bhopal has been bestowed with the 'Best Maintained Telecom System - 2008' award for the second time in a row by the Technology and Development(T and D) Circle.

The T and D Circle confers this award on the basis on the survey of quality of service in the core service of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

The award was jointly received by the Chief General Manager Madhya Pradesh BSNL Circle and Bhopal Telecom District General Manager R K P Hinduja and Mahesh Shukla respectively at a function in New Delhi yesterday.

''Bhopal Telecom District (BTD) receives the award in last year also. Besides, BTD had become the first Telecom District in the state to be awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification,'' Mr Shukla told reporters today.

He said the work for installation of BTS for the better mobile signals and 129 BTS has already been installed in different areas of the city.

Mr Shukla said the BTD was all set to introduce Call Details Record based Customer Care and Convergent Building Systems by the end of this fiscal and it would be the first of its kind in the state. The BTD would also introduce IPTB system soon, he added.
