Abhinav to open super speciality Sports Training Schools
Mysore, Oct 4 (UNI) India's first ever individual gold medal winner at Beijing Olympics Abhinav Bhindra and his family members plans to establish 500 super specialty Sports Training Schools across the country soon.
Speaking to presspersons, after inaugurating the three-day state level Dasara Sports at Chamundivihar Sports Stadium here, Abhinav's father A S Bindra announced that the first such training school would be opened in Karnataka, later in other states in the country.
Father and son said that the schools would impart training not only in Shooting but also in other sports including Swimming, Tennis, Judo and other some selected games for the young generation who could be prepared for the medals in various games.
Bindras have sought 50 acres of land for establishment of the School in Karnataka.
Thanking the people for their greetings after his achievement in the Olympics, Abhinav said that he would continue to achieve many more laurels to the country and people.
Karnataka Minister for Sports Goolihatti Shekar announced that 50 acre of land would be allotted for the proposed school by Bindra Family.
