Wockhardt Hospital launches cardiac superspeciality services
Nashik, Oct 3 (UNI) Wockhardt Hospital today commenced operations of its state-of-the-art Cardiac Superspeciality services in the district.
''The unit is equipped with the latest facilities to conduct all cardiac programmes, including angioplasty, angiography, bypass surgery, valve surgery and complex cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeries,'' said Suhas Aradhye, an official of the Wockhardt Hospital, here.
The cardiac superspecialist team comprises two full time cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeons, two full-time interventional cardiologists and three part-time interventional cardiologists.
The unit has the first digital flat panel cardiac cathode radiation lab for performing angiographies and angioplasties.
The lab reduces the radiation exposure significantly to both patients and doctors and also offers better picture quality.
The hospital has several facilities including a patient-centric ICCU facility, 24-hour dedicated cardiac ambulance, ventilators and updated software for precision monitoring, besides 44 ICCU/ critical beds having state-of-art monitors. The hospital also offers a unique and distinctive programme, ''Happy Hearts Club'', for patients, who have undergone angiographies, angioplasties, cardiac surgeries or have a family history of cardiac ailments, Mr Aradhye said.
