New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) The warm and humid weather prevailing in Delhi since the beginning of the week persisted today with the mercury shooting up to 36.4 degreeS Celsius.
A bright sunlight, coupled with a cloud cover and high humidity level of 90 per cent, led to a rise in maximum temperature, from 34.5 degrees Celsius yesterday, to 36.4 degree, two degrees above normal.
The minimum was also recorded five degrees above normal at 26.1 degrees C.
Some relief from warm and humid weather could, however, be in the offing for Delhiites with weatherman forecasting a thundry development in the city during the next 24 hours.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with thundry development towards night.
The city has been experiencing unusually warm and humid weather over the last week in the run up to the arrival of autumn.
