Margao, Oct 3 (UNI) Sporting Club de Goa would seek to capitalise on home advantages to garner points when they locks horns against newly promoted Mohammedans Sporting in the ONGC I- League championship match, to be played here at Nehru stadium Fatorda tomorrow.
The confident looking Sporting coach Vishwas Gaokar said his boys were in upbeat mood after a win against Vasco Sports Club in the opening match. He said roping in of new Brazilian defender Lufiano Marboso had strengthen the team's defence line. The team is looking forward to win as usual, depending on strikers Junior Eligah and Jaychandra to deliver the goods, Mr Gaokar said He said much will also depends on Medio Joseph Pereira and Mickey Feranandes in the midfield.
Mohammedans Coach Shabbir Ali said he was happy with his team's performance both in the local league and last drawn match against Air India. ''The team is mixture of youth and experienced players, including three foreigners -- Liberian Theodor Sunday and Mike Okoro in the front and Adeybayo Adewusi and Jotikumar in the midfield, on whom we are totally dependent to bang the target,'' he said.
''Sporting Club de Goa will be playing infront of home crowd, but we will try our best to snatch points,'' the coach added.
