Pak vows to continue war against terror

Islamabad, Oct 3 : Reacting to yesterday's suicide attack on the ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali, known for his anti-Taliban rhetoric, Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik reiterated the federal government's resolve to fight against terrorism.

He said the fight would continue till the elimination of terrorists from the country.

"The government will continue war against terrorism till elimination of terrorists or they left the country," The News quoted him as saying in an interview with the Geo TV.

Strongly condemning the assassination attempt on Wali, he said that the operation against the terrorists would not end until it reached its logical conclusion.

To a question, he said police vigilance and timely action against the suicide bomber in Wali Bagh Charsadda has prevented from big damage. It is very difficult to stop suicide attack as nobody can stop a person who has decided to blow himself up, he added.

To another question, he said that elements involved in acts of terrorism by using name of Islam were doing no service to Islam as it was a religion of peace and brotherhood. It does not allow anybody to take lives of innocent people.

He said enemies of Pakistan were active and wanted to derail democracy and destabilize the country.

Rehman Malik said that the present government has inherited bad law and order from the previous government.
