Kangaroo court of Maoists convicts former Mukhiya
Motihari, Oct 3 (UNI) The Maoist guerrillas held a kangaroo court in a sleepy hamlet of East Champaran district and convicted a former Mukhiya for anti-poor activities.
The Maoists organised a kangaroo court at Nimueeya village under Ghorasahan Police Station recently and held the former Mukhiya of the Nimueeya panchayat Punit Ray and three other villagers guilty of anti-poor activities.
Pronouncing the judgement publicly in the kangaroo court, the Maoists announced to punish all the four people convicted by them.
They were charged with not cooperating in the activities launched by the ultra outfit for uplift of the poor.
The Maoists announced that the four would be punished in Jan Adalat of the organisation.
Meanwhile, the local administration has alerted all police stations of the area following the announcements of the Maoists.
Police Superintendent N H Khan said here today that massive combing operation had been launched to arrest the Maoists.
