Chennai, Oct 3 (UNI) Hyderabad crushed Kerala by ten wickets with more than a day to spare and collected six points, including a bonus, on the penultimate day of the four-day Inter state South Zone Under-22 cricket championship for the P Ramachandra Rao Trophy here today.
Resuming at their ovenight score of 97 for five after conceding a 139-run first innings lead, Kerala were bowled out for 147 in 57 overs.
They lost their last five wickets, adding just 50 runs in 22 overs on today morning. Rohan Prem remained undeeaten on 32 with the help of three boundaries as the rest of the batsmen fell like nine pins.
For Hyderabad, Lalit Mohan claimed three wickets, while Vishal Sharma and Bharat Kumar claimed two wickets each.
Hyderabad knocked off the required nine runs in just 1.5 overs, as the contest ended 40 minutes before lunch.
Brief Scores: Kerala 124 and 147 all out in 57 overs (Rohan Prem 32 not out, Lalit Mohan 3 for 46, Vishal Sharma 2 for 35, Bharat Kumar 2 for 13) lost to Hyderabad 263 and nine for no loss in 1.5 overs.
