Haryana to celebrate Le Corbusier's birth anniversary

Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) The Haryana Department of Architecture will celebrate the 121st birth anniversary of Le Corbusier, the visionary architect and creator of city beautiful, as "Le Corbusier Day" on October 6.

To mark the occasion a function will also be organised at Haryana Niwas here, a spokesman for the Architecture Department said today.

He said a brief presentation of Life and Works of Le Corbusier and its influence on Architecture in Haryana would be given by Architecture Department.

Dr S S Bhatti, former Principal of Chandigarh College of Architecture would deliver a lecture on 'Thoughts of Corbusier.' The world famous architectural firm RSP Architects and Planners, Bangalore would provide presentation on the 'Current emerging trends in architecture' on this occasion.
