Bangalore, Sep 2(UNI) Following is a summary of observation recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Monsoon was weak over the State. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Hallimysore 2, Mysore, Channapatna 1 each.
Maximum temperature changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Interior Karnataka and appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka.
Bellary recorded highest maximum temperature of 34.2 deg. Cel.
over the State.
Minimum temperatures changed little over Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka and were rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka They were normal over the state. Chamarajanagar recorded lowest mininmum temperature of 17.2 deg. Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
