Jaipur, Oct 2 (UNI) The Gujjar Reservation Action Committee took out a peaceful march to Raj Bhawan today demanding Governor S K Singh's approval to the Rajasthan Reservation Bill 2008, which will pave the way for reservation to Gujjars under Most Backward Class category and to economically backward groups in unreserved General castes.

The peace march began from the Statue Circle here and reached to the Civil Lines level crossing where a meeting was held.

Later, a memorandum was presented to a Raj Bhawan's official for forwarding the same to the Governor.

The Bill for extending 5 per cent reservation to Gujjars and three other castes under the Most Backward Classes and 14 per cent reservation to economically backward people in unreserved higher castes, was passed in the Rajasthan Assembly in July earlier this year.

The Action Committee Convener Col Kirodi Singh Bainsla had already expressed committee's dissatisfaction over delay in the clearance of the Bill from the Raj Bhawan.
