FNR appeals to all to support Reconciliation Match
Kohima, Oct 02 (UNI) The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) has appealed to the people to support the 'Naga Reconciliation Soccer Match' scheduled on October 9 here, organised in collaboration with the Nagaland Christian Forum (NCF).
The Naga Reconciliation Soccer Match is part of the ongoing reconciliation process and will be played between the Naga underground factions under the banner of 'United Nationals' and the Naga civil societies (NGOs) under the banner of 'Naga Parliament'.
Based on the recommendations to strengthen the Naga Reconciliation process adopted by 32 Naga tribes and civil society organisations on September 25 at Dimapur, the FNR reiterated its appeal to the people to hoist a white flag in every home as a symbolic expression of support to the reconciliation process, according to a release of the FNR here today.
The Forum has further urged all the Nagas to creatively initiate other forms of non-violent public action to manifest and demonstrate the urgent desire for Nagas to be reconciled with one another, the release added.
