Encourage children to be creative: Subhash Ghai
Nagpur, Oct 2 (UNI) Bollywood filmmaker Subhash Ghai today appealed to parents to encourage their children to take up creative arts in schools and also for further studies.
Mr Ghai, who was in town for the launch of Jawaharlal Darda Art Gallery at Lokmat Bhavan here, told UNI that artists represent integrity of India. Apart from being encouraged to be competent professionals, children should be taught to express themselves through music, performing arts and cinema, he opined.
''We need to send more and more Indian students to art schools, since the prospect is huge in this field and we need young talents,'' Mr Ghai said.
''I have started Whistling Woods for the sole purpose of giving platform to Indians interested in the art of filmmaking,'' he said.
Talking about his future ventures, the filmmaker said his forthcoming film ''Yuvraj'', starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan and Boman Irani will hit the theatres on November 21.
Mr Ghai's favourite, A R Rahman has provided music for this film and the audio will be released on October 15.
