Speed Governor installation eased till Dec: SC
New Delhi, Oct 1: The Supreme Court on Tuesday, Sep 30 has postponed the Speed Governor installation issue by old lorries, maxi cabs, taxis and other commercial vehicles upto December in Karnataka. "With the Supreme Court postponing the probe into the issue, the lorry strike, scheduled from Sep 30 midnight has been withdrawn," said Karnataka Lorry Owners' and Agents' Association.

the
Supreme
Court
postponing
the
issue
to
December,
the
State
Government
has
called
us
for
discussions.
The
step
of
the
State
Government
to
solve
the
issue
through
talks
is
appreciable,"
added
Shanmugappa.
The Supreme Court had directed the State Governments that it is left to the discretion of the lorry owners and the State Government to hold talks and come to a conclusion regarding the implication of the law.
