RBI deputy general manager commits suicide
Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Deputy General Manager Sushan Kumar Patnaik today allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of RBI building at Bandra Kurla Complex in the western suburbs here.
Investigating officer R Pereira said 52-year old Patnaik had undergone a surgery recently in Bombay Hospital and nearly after one month's leave he had resumed duty yesterday.
The deceased has left a suicide note stating that nobody was responsible for his death.
Mr Pereira said after coming to office he had done some work in the morning and thereafter went to the bathroom and from the window he jumped down.
About a month back, he was transferred to the BKC office from the fort office.
Police have registered case of suicide and further investigations are on, he added.
