Talking to newsmen here, he said that he would take all the rank and file into confidence and sure to strengthen the party.
When asked whether the party will enter into alliance with JD(S) in the coming by elections, he said that no such proposal has come from that party. Even at the party level also there has been no such thinking.
Coming down heavily on the BJP led Government, Mr Deshpande said that the wheel of administration has crumbled and the minorities have been living under the stress of fear.
Mr Deshpande said that the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa should think twice before uttering words as it reflects his administration.
Earlier Mr Deshpande called on renowned Hindustani vocalist Gangubai Hanagal and had talk with her for few minutes.
Mr Deshpande urged the Union Government to confer on her the Bharata Ratna Award.
