No bickering in Cong:Deshpande
Hubli, Karnataka, Oct 1 (UNI) Newly appointed Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President R V Deshpande today categorically denied any bickering in the party over his appointment as party state chief.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Deshpande said he would take all the rank and file into confidence and would surely strengthen the party.
Asked whether the party will enter into an alliance with the JD(S) in the coming by-elections, he said no such proposal had come from that party. Even at the party level also, there was no such proposals.
Coming down heavily on the BJP-led government, Mr Deshpande said the wheel of administration had come to a halt and the minorities were living under fear.
Mr Deshpande said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa should think twice before speaking as it reflected his administration.
Earlier, Mr Deshpande called on renowned Hindustani Vocalist Gangubai Hanagal and had a chat with her.
He urged the Union Government to confer the Bharata Ratna Award on her.
