New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a technology solutions provider, has signed an agreement with Germany-based Bombardier Transportation extending the contract for providing engineering, electronic design and IT-related services.
The projects, under the renewed contract, include the work of second phase of Delhi Metro for which Bombardier will soon start to supply trains, the companies said in a joint statement.
The original contract was executed under the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) framework.
However, the new contract does not have the clause which further demonstrates Bombardier Transportation's commitment to work with Infotech Enterprises as a long term partner for their engineering outsourcing requirements, the statement said.
''Together with our long operational manufacturing facility in Vadodara and the opening of a new rolling stock production facility at Savli to deliver the Delhi Metro project, this relationship will continue to further strengthen our engineering competence within our existing Indian operations,'' Bombardier Transportation CTO and Vice President Project Management Josef Doppelbauer said.
Infotech Enterprises Ltd Sr Vice President (Manufacturing) Krishna Bodanapu said, ''We started with simple engineering tasks such as data migration in 2003...Infotech Enterprises is committed to building on this relationship and we look forward to supporting Bombardier Transportation's continued market leadership.''
