Bangalore, Oct 1 (UNI) With an experienced bowling line-up, India has the advantage in the four test series against Australia beginning October 9, Bowling Coach Venkatesh Prasad said today.
Speaking to the mediapersons after the Indian squad's day-long net session on the third day of the conditioning camp at M Chinnaswamy Stadium here, he said, ''Definitely it is going to be an advantage since we have experienced bowlers like Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Munaf Patel and Zaheer Khan, apart from the young Ishant Sharma oozing confidence.'' However, the former Indian medium pacer was quick to sound a warning saying there was a need for Indian bowlers to bowl in the right areas, maintain rhythm and consistency which were important ingredients for success.
When asked how the bowlers were shaping up in the camp, he said, ''Pretty good. In fact they have worked a lot on their fitness and the whole camp is about intensity in training and they are doing well. Batsmen, too, had a long session at the nets.'' He said Ishant and Munaf who missed action due to rest or injury have now regained their touch and rhythm.
