Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 1 (UNI) BJP prime minister candidate L K Advani today said the UPA government at the Centre should make stringent laws to tackle the growing menace of terrorism in the country.

Talking to newsmen during a brief halt at Chikalthana airport before leaving for Washim, he said the government should adequately tackle the incidents of bomb blasts at several places and ensure that the guilty are booked expeditiously.

Advocating the need for tough laws, Advani said the former president A P J Abdul Kalam had also proposed that a stringent law be put in place to combat terrorism.

The leader of opposition in Lok Sabha said ''Though the government has finalised the nuke deal, several discrepancies of the pact will come out soon. The country is facing acute energy crisis and there is a need to exploit the non-conventional energy resources, which the nation has in ample quantity.'' The BJP National General Secretary Gopinath Munde, state president Nitin Gadkari and others were present at the airport.
