25 HP students suspended for attending AIIMS fest
Dharamshala, Oct 1 (UNI) Twenty five students, including 12 girls, of the Dr R P Govt Medical College, Tanda, were suspended from classes and expelled from the hostel for allegedly participating in a cultural fest in AIIMS, Delhi without any formal invitation and permission from the college.
When contacted, Dr. Suresh Shankhyan, Principal, said that 25 students of batch 2006 had sought permission for holding Rehearsal for Connexus' 08 to be held in the college from October 3-6 but in between they left for Delhi to participate in the cultural Fest without intimating college authorities.
They have been suspended from classes for a fortnight and would not be allowed to participate in the college fest, he said.
