TTD to establish Ananda Nilaya swarna maya scheme
Tirupati, Sep 30 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Dewasthanams (TTD) Chairman D.K.Adikeshavulu Naidu today said the Rs 100 crore worth gold plating programme at Rs 100 crore for "Ananada Nilayam" will commence tomorrow with the launching of the work by Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Dr Y S Rajashekara Reddy.
He will be here for two days to present the official offerings of the Andhra Pradesh Government to Lord Venkateswara as part Brahmotsavam-2008.
Addressing at a press conference, Mr Naidu said all necessary steps have been taken to preserve the inscriptions on the walls of the "Ananda Nilayam"during the gold plating .
Valuable inscriptions would be digitalized by experts.
The project will be launched in the presence of Srirangam Peethadhipathi Andawan Swami and Sri Sri Sri Tirumala Ranga Ramanujan Peda Jeer Swami, he said.
The decision on gold plating was only after consulting the Agama pundits and archaeologists.
