One more held in LIC robbery case in UP
Sultanpur, Sep 30 (UNI) The district police has succeeded in arresting one more person, accused of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) robbery case, and seized Rs 90,000 as booty from him.
Police Superintendent Durgacharan Mishra today said Durgesh Kumar Singh alias Monu Singh was nabbed from Semri road late last night.
On checking, Rs 90,000, a pistol and two live cartridges were seized from his possession.
The accused had been sent behind bars, police informed, announcing a reward of Rs 2,500 for the victorious police team.
On September 1, armed robbers had barged into the LIC office here and looted Rs 14 lakh at gun point.
Till now, police have arrested five accused and recovered Rs 3.76 lakh from them, while one of their associates had later surrendered.
A search for three robbers was still on.
