Imphal, Sep 30: The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees Organisation (AMGEO) has urged Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh to implement the Sixth Pay Commission Report which was adopted by the Centre.

JAC president K Madhumangol said memoranda were submitted to the Chief Minister and other ministers and officials, informing them of the demand.

''Under the Manipur Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1999, the employees should enjoy the facilities enjoyed by the Central government employees,'' he said.

As the Central pattern has been adopted in Manipur since the Fourth Pay Commission, the rules implemented for the Central government employees should be implemented for state government employees, he said, adding that appropriate order regarding the implementation of the recommendations should be issued by October 15.

Similar terminal benefits should also be implemented for the pensioners of the state government, he added.
