India Cements edge out MRF

Chandigarh, Sep 30 (UNI) India Cements defeated MRF by four wickets and secured the third place in the 15th All India J P Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament here today.

MRF won the toss and elected to bat but were bundled out for 136 in 41.5 overs with Praveen Srivatsan (32, 6x4s) and Sunny Gupta (22) being main run getters for them. M. Siva Kumar (3 for 25), Suresh Kumar (2 for 12), Kiran Kashyap (2 for 20) and Devendra Kumar (2 for 40) shared the spoils for India Cements.

In reply India Cements scored 138 for 6 in 23.5 overs. They were helped in their cause by E Aswin (22), Varun Kumar (35), Suresh Kumar (26) and M. Siva Kumar (22 not out). M Siva Kumar was declared man of the match. India Cements got cash prize of Rs.30,000 for the third plae while MRF pocketed 15,000 for the fourth position.
