Court asks police to investigate complaint against Babush
Panaji, Sep 30 (UNI) A local court today directed city police to expeditiously investigate and file a report on the criminal complaint filed against Goa Education Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monseratte for allegedly submitting false educational qualification in an affidavit.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Crisanto Fernandes adjourned the hearing in the case till November one.
On September 11, local NGO Utt Goenkara spokesman Advocate Aires Rodrigues had lodged a complaint against Mr Monseratte for lying in a declaration submitted during the Goa Legislative Assembly election, that he had passed second year BA and had completed Secondary School Certificate from St Theresa School, Bandra, Mumbai, whereas he had only passed class seven from the School.
