Guwahati, Sep 30: The Border Security Force(BSF) has recovered contrabands, including Ganja and Indian made foreign liquor, in Meghalaya and Assam.
According to BSF sources here today, the jawans seized two kg of Ganja, along with 46 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor at Karaigara in Jaintia hills district in the state, while they were being smuggled into Bangladesh. In a separate incident, the army of Umkiang recovered 33 head cattle intended to be smuggled into Bangladesh from the bordering areas in Jaintia hills. The BSF at Golaghat in Assam seized 40 cartons of Burmese made cigarettes worth Rs one lakh from a bus that came from Manipur. However, no arrests had been made, in this regard, the sources said.
