Mumbai, Sep 29 (UNI) The cream of Mumbai's football talent will be on display at the first Sunil Dutt Memorial Invitational Football Tournament, organized by the Sunil Dutt Sports Foundation at the St Andrews School Gound, Bandra (W), on October 2.
The seven-a-side instant football knock out tournament will be contested by the following eight teams: Mumbai FC, Mighty Ducks, Borivali XI, Union Boys, Mumbai Jaguars, Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana, Companeroes and Bandra Falcons All Stars, who will be fielding players from Mumbai's elite division clubs.
Each of the teams will have to have two Under-16 players in their line-ups, a release issued here today stated.
The organisers have put up a staggering sum of Rs 2.07 lakhs as prize money with the winner taking home Rs 1 lakh and the runners up Rs 50,000 and the third place finisher Rs 25,000. The man of the tournament will be given a cash award of Rs 7,000 while the other five participating teams will get Rs 5,000 each, the release added.
