Odafe's hat-trick enables Churchill to beat Vasco by 3-0

Panaji, Sep 29 (UNI) A second half hat-trick by substitute Nigerian ace striker Odafe Okolie enabled Churchill Brothers to trounce Vasco sports club 3-0 and garner full points in the Vodafone GFA professional Football league match at Tilak ground Vasco da game in South Goa today.

With this win, Churchill maintained their position at the top of the table with 16 points. While Vasco remained on same six points.

After a barren first half, when Odafe came in place of D Raju and Medio Kalu Ogba came in the place of Charan Rai both combined well and shot into the lead in the 74th minute through Odafe Okolie off a well measured pass from Kalu Ogba.

Another two goals too came in quick succession in the 78th and 84th minute through Odafe in a same fashion to complete his hat-trick.

Odafa's second goal came in the 78th minute when Kalu passed to Odafe, Vasco goalkeeper rushed forward to clear the ball and took a shot which hit odafe's leg and went into the net.

Odafe completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute. It was again a pass from Kalu.

Earlier in the first half Vasco were lucky to hold Churchill goalesss . Churchill had couple of chances to score but Rival goalkeepr brought off some fine saves in the very 2nd and 22nd minutes of the first half.
