Assam Rifles organises integration tour
Imphal, Sep 29 (UNI) The Assam Rifles in Manipur has organised a ''National Integration Tour'' to enable the students, especially from far flung areas, to visit the rest of the country.
The PRO of Assam Rifles said the 17 Assam Rifles of 10th Sector under HQ IGAR (South) organised a tour to Kolkata. The team comprised 30 students and two teachers of the Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, Phadang Village and Sangshak.
The students came back with wonderful memories of meeting new people, new traditions, advancement in technology, developed transport system, latest development in art, science and culture.
After completing the tour and arriving at Imphal, the students interacted with Governor Gurbachan Jagat at Raj Bhavan.
Meanwhile, another team left for Rajasthan, the PRO said. The tour, organised by 22 Assam Rifles of 10th Sector under HQ IGAR(S), comprised one officer, four teachers and 36 students of various schools of Senapati district. The team will return on October 16.
