New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) On the ocassion of World Heart Day today, Delhi Minister for finance, planning and power Dr A K Walia flagged off a team of morning walkers at the Shantivan, Rajghat, to promote brisk walking.
Sponsored by Siel Edible Oils Ltd, the makers of Cornola oil, the event was aimed at promoting awareness among general public about the advantages of walking which can lower the risk of heart attack.
Renowned cardiologist Dr Padmavati answered people's queries relating to heart on the occasion. A free check up camp was also organised.
Programme coordinator Dr A S Dave facilitated the question answer session on weight gain.
Mr Rajesh Tara, General Manager of the Cornola Company, said coronola oil is made out of corn and is rich in both Poly Unsaturated Fatty Acids(PUFA)and Mono Unsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA) which balance the cholesterol levels in the body.
