''The Interim Constitution cannot maintain stability in the country for long,'' Dr Yadav said. He stressed the need of a new statute to conclude the peace process and establish stability in the country. ''Everybody should give up personal interests and get united to make a new Nepal,'' Dr Yadav was quoted as saying by the local media here on Saturday, Sep 27. He said, ''Honesty is must for building a new Nepal,'' adding that everybody should get involved in the development of the country. ''We should remember the past and inspect the present or else the new Nepal cannot happen,'' he added.

The President also unveiled the statue of late popular leader B P Koirala, constructed at the premises of the B P Koirala Cancer Hospital, and said the path the new leader followed showed the vision for a new and prosperous Nepal.

''Everybody should be careful about nationality and people should be vigilant about the elements that can create disharmony in the name of race, community and religion,'' Dr Yadav added.
