National interest to be major factor in upcoming polls: Advani
Moradabad, Sep 27 (UNI) BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani today said the results of the coming Lok Sabha elections will throw up a decisive mandate, in which only national interest will be a major factor and not any particular party, religion or community.
Addressing the ''Vijay Sankalp'' rally here, Mr Advani said, ''The nation will not accept a single family's rule like in the past.'' Referring to today's blast in the national capital, he said it was only waiting to happen.
Lashing out at the Manmohan Singh government, the leader said, ''This government has no intention to fight terror or give the administration a tough anti-terror law to deal effectively with the situation.'' ''It has proved to be an incapable and immoral government,'' he added.
Mr Advani charged that the Cabinet under the UPA government had many ''criminals, murderers and blackmailers'' and the government could not discard any of these elements, while they used to get purged in the previous government.
''If the NDA comes to power, it will give good governance, irrigation facilities to lands, education and employment to the youth,'' he promised.
