Muslims should help in Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya: Advani
Moradabad, Sep 27 (UNI) Terming the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as the ''nation's desire'', BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani today urged the Muslim community to help in its construction.
Addressing the 'Vijay Sankalp rally' of the party here, Mr Advani said, ''The construction of Ramjanmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya is my heart-felt wish. It is also the nation's desire, to fulfil which the Muslims should cooperate.'' Without naming the Babri Masjid Sangharsh Samiti, he asked it to withdraw its case on the land dispute.
Mr Advani said, ''The land is that of Lord Rama's birth.'' Citing the example of construction of Somnath temple during the Prime Ministership of Jawaharlal Nehru, he said, ''The Ramjanmabhoomi Temple should also be made with the approval of all.'' He also referred to his Rath Yatra from Ayodhya to Somnath, when he was arrested midway and taken to Dumka in Jharkhand.
