IAF need to do physiological study for women pilots
Shillong, Sep 28 (UNI) India's Air Force Chief Fali Homi Major today reiterated that the Indian Air Force was not ''yet ready'' to allow its women pilots to fly fighter jets.
'' We are still not ready for it and our socio-economic background is different from that of others, '' Major told reporters at the Eastern Air Command headquarters here.
The Air Chief Marshal was here and addressed the Commanders of the Eastern Air Command.
'' We need a lot of physiological study before inducting them to fly fighter jets, '' he revealed.
However, the Air Chief admitted that women pilots of the IAF also had their capabilities in flying helicopters and transport aircraft.
