Bomb blast in Mehrauli of South Delhi
New Delhi, Sep 27: Two people were killed and fifteen were injured in the bomb blasts that occured in one of the electronic shops in Mehrauli market of South Delhi at 2.15 pm on Saturday, Sep 27. One child was among the two people killed. Eye witnesses are stating that two youths came on a motorcyle and left a suspicious looking black bag in the middle of the road, just few minutes before the blasts occured. The bomb was in a tiffin box in the bag. The bomb exploded in Jahaj Mahal. Ambulances and fire engines have rushed to the spot.
The bomb was wrapped in a roll of paper. As soon as the bag was dropped by the miscreants, a kid took the bomb rolled up in the roll and the bomb blew killing the kid. Injured have been rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Safdarjung hospital. Security has been beefed up in and around Delhi especially South Delhi. This is the second bomb blast that has occured in south Delhi in the past fifteen days.
People around the area are panicked with the blasts and all shops have been shut down. Shopkeepers are moving away from the area to a safer place.
