Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 27: Defence Minister A K Antony on Saturday, Sep 27 donated a large number of mementoes and gifts that he received in his official capacity to Kerala State Museum at a function here.
State Education and Culture Minister M A Baby received the momentoes from the Defence Minister on behalf of the Kerala Government. Handing over a replica of SU-30 fighter to Mr Baby, Mr Antony said mementoes and other gifts that he received during his public life would not be treated as his personal property. ''I have also donated the entire items that I received during my tenure as Kerala Chief Minister thrice, to the state museum.'' Mr Baby said the government would constitute an expert committee to suggest steps to preserve such a rare collection of mementoes that Mr Antony received from India and abroad.
State Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Vijayakumar and Air Marshal S C Mukul, AOC-in-C of Southern Air Command, were among those who attended the function.
