Chandigarh, Sep 26 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Defence Production Rao Inderjit Singh today said a sum of Rs 92 crore would be spent to improve roads in Gurgaon in next three months.
Gurgaon Municipal Corporation would incur Rs ten crore every month to maintain the roads within its jurisdiction, he said while addressing a press conference in Gurgaon after getting first hand information of the condition of some of the roads in the city.
He had been to Basai road, Pataudi road and roads leading to sector 37 from the National Highway.
The Minister said rains damaged roads in all cities and Gurgaon was no exception. He said he had already reviewed the condition of roads and discussed the matter of repairing of damaged roads in a meeting with the senior officers of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), Municipal Corporation, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department and officers of district administration.
