RBI issues g-secs calender for Rs 39,000 cr
Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India today issued an indicative calender for issuance of Government of India securities to the tune of Rs 39,000 crore for the period from October 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009.
This was to enable institutional and retail investors to plan their investments in a better manner and also to provide transparency and stability in the Government securities market, RBI said in a release here.
According to the Calender issued today, the auctions would take place between October three and October 10 for raising Rs 10,000 crore in the form of five to nine year security for Rs 6,000 crore and 20 years and above security for Rs 4,000 crore.
Between October 17-24 another Rs 10,000 crore would be raised through 10-14 year security for Rs 6,000 crore and 20-year and above security for Rs 4,000 crore.
A third set of Rs 10,000 crore would take place between October 31 and November seven through five to nine year security for Rs 6,000 crore and 20-year and above security for Rs 4,000 crore Between November 14-21, Rs 6,000 would be raised as five to nine year security and between December 5-12 another Rs 3,000 crore in the form 10-14 year security, would be floated.
