Jagdalpur,CG, Sep 26 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will be coming here on September 30, on a brief visit to the naxal-affected backward district of Bastar in Chhattisgarh.
Tight security arrangements were being made in Bastar region, the worst-affected by Maoist naxal movement for over two decades, official sources said, adding CRPF jawans were deployed on search duty around 20 Km periphery in view of the VVIP visit.
After arriving at Raipur by a special aircraft, she will visit Bastar district's picturesque tourist spot at Chitrakote waterfall on the Indrawati river.
Around noon, Mrs Patil will visit the Hastshilp Kala Kendra to see an exhibition of terracota and tribal arts. She will also interact with the Sarpanchs of Nirmal Grams on the occasion.
As part of beefing up security arrangements, checking of vehicles and keeping a vigil on the visitors were being carried out, the sources added.
