Paddy arrival picks up in Haryana mandis
Chandigarh, Sep 26 (UNI) The arrival of the paddy in the mandis of Haryana is picking up and 69,595 tonnes of paddy has already arrived in the mandis of the state during the current Kharif season so far.
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Food and Supplies Department said out of the total paddy arrival, 28,776 tonnes had been procured by Government Agencies at the minimum support price and the remaining about 40,819 tonnes had been purchased by the private millers and traders.
He said HAFED had procured, 9514 tonnes, Food and Supplies Department 10,465 tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 5,050 tonnes and Confed 3,747 tonnes of paddy.
