Mah govt stays Dau project
Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has stayed the construction of Dau Chemical Company's upcoming project in Pune district.
Several ''Warkaris'' were protesting against the implementation of the project as it was to be set up at the foot of Ramachandra mountain, which is considered to be pious.
The decision was taken after state parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshwardhan Patil spoke with Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is in London.
The government also announced that a committee would be appointed under a retired justice, which will report in a month on this issue.
