London, Sept.26 : Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton wants to be the world's best race car driver, and adds that he will not be satisfied "until No 1 is on my car".
The Formula One star, 23, is battling to become the youngest champion in history in only his second season in the sport.
And if he does take the title, his McLaren team will have the traditional honour of boasting the No 1 on the nose cone next season.
According to The Sun, Hamilton has racked up an incredible eight wins in just 31 starts, and it would have been nine had he not been stripped of the title in Belgium.
The British racer goes into Sunday's floodlit Singapore Grand Prix with a one-point lead.
"But I feel very good about coming here (Singapore). I feel good about this season and I feel as though I'm one of the top drivers here. I don't think that's a secret. But every driver has to believe they're the best. If you go into it thinking 'I'm not as good as this guy', then you're never going to beat them," he said.
Hamilton leads by just a point from Ferrari's Felipe Massa with four races to go.
