Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) Importance of managers in the emerging economic environment and working on key insights of implementation would be the theme of the 35th national Management convention of the All India Management Association (AIMA) to be held here on September 30 and October one.
The new managers would be the focal point at the Convention, which would have more than 1,000 delegates from Industry, government and academia, enabling the emerging managers to learn more out of practice rather than the school environs. Eminent speakers from diverse section of the society would take up on themes that defines and shapes entrepreneurship in the new economy.
Convention Chairman and Tata Sons executive director R Gopalakrishnan talking to newsmen here said that the Flagship event of the management fraternity of India would provide insights to the delegates on how to manage and work in a 21st century enterprise.
The term 'Manager' had undergone a significant change from its traditional context in the country. They have moved beyond merely delivering as employees to create value for their organisation, taking ownership and shaping its destiny, he said.
The convention would give opportunity to all budding managers to exchange ideas with peers and expert speakers from members of Parliament and business fraternity, who have innovative approaches towards managing a modern enterprise.
The Event to be inaugurated by Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel would have eminent speakers in Chairman of Bajaj Auto Rahul Bajaj, Consulting EMEA regional leader Deloitte John Kerr, Prof of London School of Business Nirmalya Kumar, Members of Parliament Supriya Sule, Tataghata Satpathy and Milind Deora.
