Bangalore, Sep 25 (UNI) Hewlett-Packard (HP), a leading consumer notebook PC brand in the country, today launched a new series of nine trendy and stylish Compaq notebooks embedded with several valuable types of software and features.
The new series carries modern features like backlit keyboard, finger print reader and HDMI 1.3 adding to its chic look apart from a built in TV tuner card, blue ray drive and an infra ready remote control.
The new Compaq notebook range is priced between Rs 26,990 to Rs Rs 38,990.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Rajiv Grover, Director, Consumer Products, Personal Systems Group of HP, said the new range was a result of HP's extensive research, focusing on user preferences amongst the youth.
''Keeping in mind the priorities of today's young generation, HP has factored in features like the flush glass finish and the 3D drive guard,'' he said.
To further strengthen the leadership with an aggressive 'go-to-market' strategy, HP India plans to expand its retail footprint across 600 cities and expand the retail dealer network to over 6,000 by the end of this year, he said.
''The new range will be offered to customers through HP's wide network of exclusive stores, multi-brand outlets and large format retailers. The company would also facilitate finance schemes for the new buyers,'' he said.
