Gowda demands dismissal of K'taka govt for attacks on minorities
New Delhi, Sept 25 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda today reiterated the demand for the dismissal of the B S Yeddyurappa government in Karnataka for its failure to contain the attacks on the minorities saying these are indeed state sponsored .
''I have already written to President Pratibha Patil and state Governor Rameshwar Thakur in this connection,'' Mr Gowda told UNI here while participating in a sit-in protest at the premises of Parliament against the UPA government's hurry in entering into the nuclear deal with the US and ignoring the burning national issues.
The state witnessed attacks on places of worship and prayer halls belonging to the minority community in various its parts.
The former Prime Minister said this was the first time that the attacks on the minorities of the state had taken place in this manner.
