Paris, Sep 25 (UNI) Saurav Ghosal went down 11-2, 11-5, 11-9 to third seed Thierry Lincou of France in the pre-quaterfinals to crash out of the 62,000 dollar Internationaux de France Squash tournament here.
Ghosal was simply outclassed by his rival in the first two games.
The National champion put up a much better fight in the third game but failed to keep up the momentum.
''He played really well in the first two games, cutting everything off and his volley drops were so good, and he made so few errors,'' Ghosal said after the tie.
''I just started feeling the ball and the court more in the third, getting the ball to the back, and he dropped a little. I can't believe I tinned that one at the end, after playing such good rally.'' Lincou will take on Borja Golan of Spain in the quarterfinal.
Golan had defeated Jonathan Kemp of Egypt 6-11, 11-6, 11-8, 8-11, 13-11, in a keenly fought contest.
