CPI (M-L) hits out at Left Parties
Puducherry,Sep 25(UNI)Strongly criticising the CPI and CPI(M) for joining hands with the Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC),the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) today described it as ''opportunistic politics.'' In a statement here today, CPI(ML) Secretary S Balasubramanian asked the Left Parties to explain to the people how PMC was more progressive than the Congress.
Till now, the PMC was supporting the Congress Government here and also the Indo-US Nuclear Deal, he claimed.
He urged other Left parties, which followed the true principles of Communism, to come together.
Mr Balasubramanian demanded the Union Government to constitute an enquiry commission by a high court judge into alleged administrative lapses during the seven-year regime of Former Chief Minister N Rangasamy.
He also condemned the alleged pretension of the present Ministers, who held office in the Rangasamy Cabinet, that they were not aware of any lapses.
Mr Balasubramanian, who demanded a White Paper from the government on the financial position of the Union Territory, also said the ''Goondas Act'' was not necessary here.
