Belawadi records 11 cm rainfall

Bangalore, Sep 25 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Southwest monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Belawadi 11; Dharwad 9.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Muddebihal, Biligi, Gudibande 4 each; Bagalkote, Humnabad, Manvi, Madhugiri, Hiriyur, Gowribidanur 3 each; Rabkavi, Sankeshwar, Belgaum, Chittapur, Siruguppa, H.B.Halli, Chikballapur, Bagepalli 2 each; Sirsi, Bhatkal, Deodurg, Tavaregere, Hanumasagar, Nargund, Hukkeri, Raibagh, Londa, Hangal, Sedam, Jeewargi, Narayanpur, Koratagere, Doddaballapura, Bangarpet 1 each.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.
