Banking activities crippled for second day
Bangalore, Sept 25 (UNI) The Banking activities was crippled for the second day in Karnataka State following the employees participating in the nation wide strike call given by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU).
Almost all branches of public sector banks and Karnataka Bank, in the private sector remained closed putting the customers to hardship.
The UFBU had given the nationwide strike call against merger and consolidation in the banking sector and delay in the wage settlement.
The striking employees and officers held protest demonstration shouting slogans against the union government and the Indian Bank Association (IBA).
